Plans afoot for Coraki Health One service

HOPE remains for health services at Coraki after a steering committee met to develop plans to establish a Health One service, possibly on the Campbell Hospital campus.

Steering committee chair Hazel Bridgett said on Monday the committee discussed the master plan. Ms Bridgett said the master planning exercise will determine where on the campus the Health One Centre should be located, its size and its internal layout.

"A Health One Service works to prevent illness and reduce the risk and impact of disease," she said.

"The Health One Centre on the former Campbell Hospital campus will provide a central hub for the local community to access integrated primary care services in a cost-effective and efficient manner where the focus will be on providing patient-centred care all under the one roof."

The steering committee plans to present its ideas on the master plan to the wider Coraki and surrounding community for its input and comments at a public meeting later this year.
