Pilling scores with Neurum Road

BALLINA trainer Andrew Pilling had his first win with six-year-old gelding Neurum Road at the Casino Racing Club non-TAB meeting on Saturday.

Neurum Road ($10) took out the Relihan Bowl $6000 Benchmark 50 Handicap (1400m).

The six-year-old came to the area from Queensland earlier this year and was initially trained by Ballina's John Everson.

The win at Casino is its fourth from 34 starts.

In other races, Casino jockey Kasie Stanley rode Floral Nomad ($3.50 equal favourite) to a win in a $6000 Maiden Handicap (1400m).

The five-year-old gelding is trained by her father Peter Stanley.

Bentley trainer Tom Pratt also took out a Maiden Plate (1000) with Phast Lad ($2.25 favourite).

Racing will return to the Northern Rivers with TAB meetings at Ballina on Sat-urday and Monday.

There is no more racing at Casino scheduled until April next year.
