IN PICTURES: Emotional memorialisation for Tadashi

TADASHI Nakahara was remembered by friends, family and coworkers in a moving ceremony at Ballina yesterday.

Staff from the Ramada Hotel in Ballina, Mr Nakahara's parents, and friends of the Japanese national converged on Shelly Beach one year on from the shark attack that took Mr Nakahara's life.

Mr and Mrs Nakahara were visibly moved by the show of support those at the ceremony, which included representatives from local police, surf life saving, local MP Tamara Smith, Ballina mayor David Wright, and surfers at the scene of the attack.
