PHOTOS: Day 1 Falls Festival

THE vibes were high for day one of the biggest Byron Bay Falls Festival yet, with up to 25,000 partygoers descending on North Byron Parklands.

The sun was out in full force yesterday but the festival's popular attraction - 'Palm Springs' -was a 'lifesaver' for punters needing a break, offering a chill out area fit with beach volleyball, sun baking chairs and swimming pools.

Attendees were ready to say goodbye to 2017 and bring in the new year with popular act Flume headlining the night.
