Photo of the Day voters give Daniel something to crow about
FOR the second day in a row, we have had a first-time poster win through the voting to get Photo of the Day.
Daniel Lucas shared this lovely photo of a rooster on our Facebook page, putting it among a field of seven images up for Photo of the Day.
Once again, all the submissions were fantastic - something reflected in the tight voting that delivered Daniel his win with 21% of people entering the poll picking it as their favourite image.
Photo of the Day aims to celebrate the beauty of the Northern Rivers and the talent of the region's photographers.
As well as appearing here, it is published on Page 2 of the paper, is used as the cover image on our Facebook page and forms part of an expanding gallery, which you can see below.
To contribute an image to Photo of the Day, simply go to our Facebook page and share it.
We have a wonderful range of wonderful images in the nine submissions for tomorrow's Photo of the Day - from the inventive to the bucolic. We also have a few first-time contributors in the mix - welcome to you all and thanks for taking part.
If this is your first time voting for Photo of the Day, here's the drill. Take a look at the poll below and pick your favourite image. You can see full-size versions of the images in this gallery, or by clicking the gallery link above the thumbnails.
