Parked car torched at Lennox Head

VANDALS have torched a car parked on the Coast Rd near the Lennox Head turnoff overnight.

A Rural Fire Service Far North Coast spokesman said the Lennox Head brigade was called at 12.53am following reports a car was on fire.

The spokesman said when they arrived they found the blue Holden Commodore station wagon well alight.

The blaze was quickly extinguished but the car, which had been parked for several days in the same place, was destroyed.

Police were called and are investigating the incident.
