Our year in review for 2016

WHAT was your most memorable moment in our local area for 2016?

There was plenty going on throughout the year and the Lismore Echo was there to report on so many happenings.

Whether it be celebrating our centenarians, to acknowledging the wife of our local federal member or working hard to find our canine friends new homes, we were there.

The Echo was there to farewell Jenny Dowell, our mayor of 10 years, to welcoming in the new guard in the form of Isaac Smith.

We stood with Lismore Vietnam Veterans at the commemoration of the battle of Long Tan after 50 years.

We celebrated those who have done well in our business district and we told the good news stories in our patch, when the rest of the country is being negative.

And guess what!

We will be back in 2017 to do it all over again.

We will be bringing the sad, the good, the bad and the quirky to your door just as we've done for 2016.

See you on the other side of 2017 when our first edition comes out on January 12.
