Opinion: Reconciliation starts with us

BOOMERANG Festival is the indigenous arts and cultural event for the Northern Rivers, and a world-class initiative programmed by respected curator and Bundjalung woman Rhoda Roberts.

Boomerang Festival represents reconciliation in action: the entire community uniting through arts and culture, education, and contributing to the shift in our national cultural landscape.

It is a privilege for the Northern Rivers to be the home of such a landmark event, and with community support, Boomerang is expected to grow into a cornerstone event for our region.

Businesses and individuals are invited to support this important event for our region via their on-line crowd funding campaign.

Boomerang aims to raise $100,000 to run in 2016 at Bluesfest, and gratefully welcomes further support to contribute to the future of the event in coming years.

Beyond the crowd funding campaign, commercial sponsorship and marketing partnerships are available for those interested.

Time to put ideas into action. Please pledge today.
