One pink lady back, just 94 to go

ONE down, 94 to go.

Ninety-five of these "pink ladies" - silhouettes of women used to raise awareness about breast cancer - were stolen from the North Coast National in Lismore at the weekend.

The Northern Star ran a story about the theft in Tuesday's paper and called on readers to return the ladies, no questions asked.

One of the stolen silhouettes has since been brought into the Star's Goonellabah office.

But 94 of the pink ladies are still missing.

Breast cancer survivor and support group co- ordinator Julie Radford said the theft was "disrespectful and uncaring".

"I don't know what on earth they (the thieves) would have done with them," she said.

Pink ladies can be brought into The Northern Star office, no questions asked, or you can call the breast cancer support group on 6628 5663.
