One more day to support Sprung!!

SUPPORTERS of Sprung!! Integrated Dance Theatre have just one more day to help with their crowdfunding campaign.

The Four Dreams campaign finishes at the end of business tomorrow (March 31).

The dance theatre mounted this campaign with an organisation called the Australian Cultural Fund, which is an organisation supported by the Australian Government through the Ministry for the Arts, General Manager John Rado said in an email to supporters.

"It was created to increase philanthropic, business and social investment in Australia's cultural sectors," he said.

"It differs from every other crowd-funding platform, in that all donations over $2 are fully tax deductible.

"We are amazingly close to reaching our target of $12,000.

"At the time of writing this letter we had reached $10,473 from 26 supporters.

"This is 87% of our target.

"I believe the necessity of Government supported organisations such as the Australian Cultural Fund has come about because of the very real situation that Governments of all time, realise, that they do not contribute sufficiently to the arts sector to support it fully.

"Support for the arts and cultural sector of any society is vital for that society's survival.

"The reality of this became very evident for us at the beginning of this year when we lost one of our major grants.

"This has necessitated a major restructure of our organisation, which looks promising in its viability and success.

"But we need all the help we can get.

"I am reaching out to you to help us complete our target, perhaps even to surpass it.

"Please take some time to read about our project and if you think and feel, as I do, that it is worthy, please contribute and help us reach our goal."
