One Done Already!
What a great Term!!
As Term One comes to a close at St Brigid’s Primary School in Kyogle let’s take a look at how busy we have been.
We welcomed 2016 with 16 new students in Kindergarten and a number of other students in other years within the school. We began our new school year with a Whole School Mass in Our Lady Of Sorrows Church in February. As well as weekly class Masses we have celebrated numerous times in the Church since with our St. Patrick and St Brigid Day Masses and a special mass for Catholic Schools Week. We’ve had Liturgies for Ash Wednesday and Palm Sunday and we will culminate the term with our Easter celebrations! We also kicked off our Parish Family Masses!
We’ve been busy in the pool with our Friday swimming program for the whole school and the Richmond Zone Swimming Carnival. We’ve been busy on the track, with our weekly running club that prepared us for the Cross Country/Fun Run. We’ve had Rugby League skills sessions and morning fitness twice a week as well! Students have excelled in swimming, cricket and rugby league!
The Surara Indonesian Dance Group performed for the whole school and each class presented their terms work at our weekly Friday assemblies. The choir has started rehearsing and we showcased our school in the old IGA window for Catholic Schools Week!
Around all of these activities has been some excellent learning by all students in their respective classes. Keep up the great work everyone and enjoy your holiday break ready to come back refreshed and rested for an even busier Term 2
