Examining the Express

OFTEN when I'm putting each weekly paper together I do a range of interviews that often have a theme.

This week's theme would have to be strong women.

Two stories I did this week were in regard to two local women struggling with, yet not being beaten by, their particular burden.

The first story which appears in this week's edition is one of a young woman dealing with mental illness and how she is working to help others.

The other is of a young mum who is trying to raise money to get to Russia to undergo a treatment to halt her form of multiple sclerosis.

Both stories left me wondering if I would have the strength and courage to face what both these women have been and are going through.

Hopefully their stories will inspire you.

Busy Weekend

Will you be at Primex or the Casino Drags, or both?

Truly this is a busy time of year for the Casino area.

Having just gotten over Beef Week, I will be getting my boots on and heading down to Primex this week.

Whatever you end up doing, check out all the details in this week's edition of the Express Examiner.
