NSW police respond to violent attacks on Christmas Eve

VIOLENT attacks have marred Christmas celebrations for some NSW families.

A man remains in a critical condition after being stabbed multiple times outside a Sydney restaurant on Christmas Eve.

The 29-year-old was involved in an argument with another man when he was stabbed in the chest and abdomen.

A crime scene has been established and investigations are continuing.

Outside of Sydney, baseball bats have been used in two separate attacks.

At Albury, a 22-year-old man underwent emergency surgery after his ear was partially severed during a fight with two other men who were allegedly armed with baseball bats.

He was taken to the Albury hospital where his ear was reattached.

A 40-year-old man was arrested for allegedly attacking another man with a chair leg and baseball bat at Armidale.

Police were called to a unit on Christmas Eve to respond to an argument between the two men.

The alleged victim remains in hospital in a stable condition.
