NSW police crack cold case

POLICE believe they have cracked a seven-year-old cold case, charging a man with the murder of missing underworld figure Cenzig Sarac.

Two weeks ago police evacuated a Sydney home while they searched the yard for human remains.

At least one bone, believed to belong to Sarac, was found.

On Monday a 29-year-old man was arrested at Chittaway Bay on the Central Coast.

He fronted the Wyong Local Court where he was refused bail.

Detectives from Strike Force Salacia have been investigating the disappearance of Sarac who has not been seen since 2005.
