NSW Governor tempted back to Beef Week

THE Governor of NSW has indicated he will make a return to Casino Beef week after a successful visit in 2016.

“He really enjoyed his trip to Casino and meeting the different people from our community,” Beef Week president Stuart George said.

The Governor and his wife David and Linda Hurley toured Casino and surrounding areas for three days over the opening weekend of this year’s festival

“We suggested he and his wife should come back for the big festival weekend later in the program that includes the cattle competitions,” Mr George said.

“The Governor indicated that 2018 could be a possibility,” he said.

Having someone with the standing of Governor attend Beef Week really increased the focus on the event, he said.

Beef Week was “enormous this year. There was great community support across all events and regions and lots of very positive feeling,” Mr George said.
