Norwegian on the move

ROVERS will field the same line-up against Workers today as the one that beat Italo Stars 3-0 last week and, after consecutive clean sheets, their new-look side is starting to find consistency in FNC premier league soccer.

But Workers have shown plenty of character in recent games, securing 2-all draws against Thistles and Alstonville after trailing 2-0 each time.

While several players are battling niggling injuries, the Redmen are likely to start with only flanker Brendan Moore missing and have experienced defender Daune Hoare back.

In an effort to put pressure on Rovers’ defence, Workers coach Scott Collis may move skilful Norwegian flanker Andreas Lauvaas into the striking role.

In other games today, an improving Bangalow will look for its first competition points of the season when the Bluedogs travel to Ballina to take on the erratic Seahorses, while in-form Pottsville will be out to extend its undefeated home record against winless Stars.

Both games will kick off at 5pm.
