North Burnett man bitten by brown snake
A 45-YEAR-OLD North Burnett man has escaped serious injury after being bitten by a brown snake on a property in Gayndah, west of Maryborough.
This afternoon Bundaberg's RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted the father of three after he was struck on the hand by the highly venomous snake.
He was trying to stop his Staffordshire Terrier from fighting with it.
The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter transferred the patient from Gayndah Hospital to Bundaberg Hospital.
He is in a stable condition.
His Staffordshire Terrier was unharmed in the incident.
