From keeping their community clean and safe to helping others make the most of their lives, the council want to honour these people that make the Richmond Valley a great place for everyone.

If you know someone who deserves recognition for their tireless, inspiring and selfless work, nominate them now and let us thank them for going that extra mile to make a positive contribution in the community. You are invited to nominate a friend, family member, community leader, colleague or even someone you don't know - any Australian who you believe makes our community a better place to live, or has achieved sporting success.

The categories are: Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year; Volunteer and Young Volunteer of the Year; Sportsperson and Young Sportsperson of the Year; and Indigenous Citizen of the Year.

Nomination forms are available at local clubs, community organisations and at all Richmond Valley Council buildings to ensure everyone can nominate a deserving member of the community.

For further information visit here or contact Council's events officers on 6660 0300.
