No Excuses for Byron Circus Arts troupe
LOCAL troupe Circus Arts Byron Bay will be presenting an original production called No Excuses.
The piece, created by Simon Adams, Chloe de Buyl-Pisco and the cast is an original story told with circus acts, daring and love.
We had a chat to Chloe de Buyl-Pisco about the upcoming show.
What can audiences expect from this show?
Exciting new solo and group acts performed by the experienced and highly-skilled youth performance troupe and local adults who comprise our newly-formed Ensemble Performance class.
How many performers will be featured?
The show has a cast of 17 ranging in age from 12 years to 57 years. Audiences will be wowed by 20 acts showcasing skills including group skipping, acrobatics, table sliding, lyra, silks, counterweighted aerials, Olympic trampoline, juggling, Spanish web, dance trapeze, aerial net, hula hoops, swinging cloudswing, trapilks, rope, hammock and doubles trapeze.
How long did it take the company to develop this show?
The show has been in development for three months during class time (Term 4).
The show is a fundraiser for Friends of the Circus. Money raised goes towards providing performance and training opportunities for local circus enthusiasts.
At the Byron Entertainment Centre, 17 Centennial Circuit, Arts and Industry Estate, Byron Bay, on Friday and Saturday, December 18 and 19, at 7.30pm. $10.
