Kyogle cowboys set to tame beasts

COWBOYS ought to hold onto their hats as the Kyogle Bull Ride Spectacular rolls into the showgrounds today

An 11-year running event that epitomises country, the bull riding will showcase local and national talent including Kyogle rider Danial Piggott.

“I started riding with my dad, we have some cattle and my pop used to do it and he put me on a bull when I was eight,” Danial said.

“It is always good to be at the home rodeo but there is more pressure to do well because my family and friends are watching.

The Kyogle Bull Ride Spectacular is held at the showgrounds tonight with doors opening at 4.30pm and the competition starting at 5.30pm

Alongside the bull riding there will be food, drinks, music and entertainment.

Cost is $25 for a family, $10 for adult and children under 16 are $5.
