BALLINA will have one nipper flying the flag at the Wave Warriors Junior Challenge this weekend.

Georgia Wheatland will compete in the under-14s girls division at Greenmount Beach, Coolangatta.

A handful of nippers from the Far North Coast branch compete at the event each year.

It is a two-day event and the first of the Medibank Wave Warriors season.

The Challenge is a beach and surf event designed to mirror the Kellogg's Nutri-Grain Series and promote further development for junior lifesavers between nine and 15-years-old.

He will be at the Gold Coast leg of the series this weekend.
