Nimbin street art-bombed with anti-nuclear message
ACTIVISTS have art-bombed Nimbin's main street overnight painting an anti-nuclear mural outside the alternative town's pub.
A massive yellow anti-nuclear symbol in encircled by a red ring, with the words 'no mines', 'no weapons' and 'no waste' now dominates Cullen Street.
Inside the circular artwork are the words 'act now' and 'defend your future'.
Facebook user Dave Hippy Love posted a photo of the artwork on social media this morning.
"Overnight art appears in Nimbin," he posted.
"It's actually a decent job, to scale and quite professional."
Mark from the Nimbin Hotel said the mural 'just appeared this morning.
"I haven't heard any news about who did it, but it's pretty spectacular and very bright," he said.
Within two hours 10 people had commented on Facebook about the artwork, all providing positive Feedback.
"Great work," Di Tessmer said.
Chantico Love posted 'Who's got a drone? Be good to get high up pics.'
"Hope they leave it just for a couple of days until the google camera that's in Lismore at the moment goes through town," she said.
"I loved driving by this on my way to work today," Lois Kelly posted.
"What a lovely way to start the day.
"Thanks to the artist(s)."
