Nimbin 'cannabis cake' seller arrested

POLICE have arrested a 67-year-old woman for selling cannabis cake in Nimbin after a five month investigation.

Senior Constable David Henderson from Richmond Local Area Command said police allege that the Larnook woman had been monitored supplying cannabis in the form of cannabis cake several times on Cullen Street Nimbin.

Police allege they attended a Martin Road, Larnook address on Wednesday morning and executed a search warrant.

During the search police located at least 10 kilos of cannabis and a large amount of cannabis cake.

The woman has been charged with one count of supplying a prohibited drug.

Further charges will be laid in due course.
