Shock end to Bluesfest

BLUESFEST was rocked in its final moments as a ferris wheel carriage containing three female passengers became dislodged and feel 8m to the ground.

Two girls aged 15, one from Tweed Heads and the other from Queensland, suffered back injuries while a 16-year-old girl from Byron Bay escaped with cuts and abrasions.

Bystanders in the festival’s carnival area were reported to be shocked by the incident which occurred at 7.15pm last night.
