LISMORE Neighbourhood Centre will officially launch its new look and new name in a ceremony at Carrington Street tomorrow.

The centre has adopted the new name of Northern Rivers Community Gateway to reflect the centre's regional nature.

In a statement, the organisation's chief executive, Jenni Beetson-Mortimer said "Northern Rivers Community Gateway" was more representative of the services it provided.

"It was a big decision to change the name as there is a lot of history associated with the Lismore Neighbourhood Centre but after many discussions between our board and staff we are thrilled to announce the new name and logo and trust that the community will embrace it," she said.

The new sign will be officially unveiled at a ceremony for the community, including a free barbecue, cold drinks, and information stalls. The launch will be held at 29 Carrington Street, Lismore, tomorrow from 11am to 2pm.
