New-look Rams into Anzac Cup semi-finals
BYRON Bay will play in the semi-finals of the Far North Coast soccer Anzac Cup after a superb start to the season by new strikers Gianluca Bongiovanni and Joel Wood.
Trailing 4-1 at halftime, Bongiovanni led the fightback scoring all five goals when they forced a 6-all draw against Goonellabah.
He scored another four in the third round when they thumped Lennox Head 13-0 to seal a home semi-final against Lismore Thistles on Sunday.

Aaron Walker, Will Ennis along with Bongiovanni and Wood were backed up by a tireless midfield and rock-solid defence proving to be a devastating combination.
Young midfileder Ronan Karup, Sam Owens, Kare Isaac, James Tomlinson and Woods also found the net.
The other Anzac Cup semi-final will be between Goonellabah and Richmond Rovers at Neilson Park, Lismore.
The Rails Hotel Wildcats have also had a field day in the Callan McMillan women's competition.
