New funding program could be catalyst for arts organisations

A NEW funding program called Catalyst for the arts has just been announced.

After consultation with the arts community and following the appointment of a new federal Arts Minister the federal government has re-tooled their earlier National Program for Excellence in the Arts and announced the new program. 
 
Catalyst aims to assist organisations to develop new creative and financial partnerships and to encourage participation in cultural activity by all Australians.
 
The program has a stated priority of supporting projects that encourage access to high quality arts experiences in regional communities.

Catalyst also gives priority to small to medium sized organisations.
 

Catalyst opens for applications on Friday 27 November 2015 and more details can be found at http://arts.gov.au/catalyst
