New facilities for Byron school

LOCAL MP Justine Elliot officially opened two new general learning areas today at Byron Bay Public School.

The project, totalling $330, 094, was funded through $297,000 provided by the Australian Government under its Capital Grants Program, by $33,094 provided by the State Government.

Byron Bay Public School is also receiving $3.2 million under the Australian Government’s Building the Education Revolution program.

This project involved the replacement of an existing demountable accommodation for a modular design range classroom building (2 classrooms in total). The project also included a new covered walkway link to existing buildings, disabled access ramp and landscaping.
