New course for soccer coaches

A COMPREHENSIVE course is being held for people aiming to improve their soccer coaching skills.

The Youth Football Certificate/Youth Football Licence will offer in-depth advice and information for participants seeking to boost their coaching knowledge.

Taking place at the Bangalow Sports Ground, the scheme, which is split into four meetings, will offer a potential pathway to further learning.

The course gets started on Saturday, March 2 (9am-3pm).

Further meetings will take place on March 3, 9 and 10.

FNC representatives face tough challenges if they are to progress in this year's $10,000 Northern New South Wales State Cup.

Lismore Workers will take on Armidale's Norths United in round two of this year's competition, while Casino Cobras take on Wingham Warriors.

Both matches are taking place in Urunga on Sunday, March 17.

Lennox Head Sharks has received a bye.

Teams from across the state are contesting the competition, which also forms part of clubs'build-up for the forthcoming season.
