Netflix catches geo-dodgers out

SOME Aussie customers are being blocked from accessing the US Netflix catalogue after the popular streaming service's announcement of a crackdown on "geo-dodgers".

Melbourne-based company uFlix offers an unblocking service and says some of its customers are starting to have issues with Netflix locking them out of overseas content.

uFlix said this was affecting only a few users at the moment, but expected the number to grow.

Netflix is available in most of the world, but each country's catalogue is different.

Australian Netflix customers were outraged over the streaming giant's decision earlier this month to block users from accessing the more extensive range of TV shows and movies available in countries such as the US.
