Daleys head into netball break on a high in close comp

DALEYS will go into the mid-season Lismore Netball Association break on a high while organisers are also delighted with the close competition.

Another exciting round of matches at the Marie Mackney Courts saw Daleys take out Mary G Rats in senior Division One.

In other action in the senior league on Saturday, Henry Rous Pink saw off Workers Rockers, while Woodlawn Herons enjoyed a forfeit win over Woodlawn Spar Eagles.

Association treasurer Lynne Sims said there had been some enjoyable action so far in the competition, which now takes a break due to the forthcoming State Age Championships and school holidays.

"It has been really good," she said.

"Normally we only have two or three top teams, but this year all six seem to be handy. "We've had weather impact the matches, but everything has been running smoothly.

"It is going well and there should be some more good matches after the break."

Sims thanked all the volunteers and everyone assisting this year's competition.

Action resumes on Saturday, July 20.
