National Rosary Day

Thursday October 13th was National Rosary Day and the staff and students at St. Brigid’s Primary School Kyogle joined in the celebration.
At 1030am we all joined, with students across the country, to pray the Rosary. It was a way for the School to show support for the Marian prayer and highlight that October is the month of the Rosary.
A very large set of ‘home made’ Rosary beads, were spread across the school oval, and each class prayed a decade of the Rosary. It was a fantastic experience for the children and a wonderful sight to behold.
The students have also been busy this week participating in the National Rosary Competition. It was a colouring in competition for Kinder to Year 3 students, while students in Years 4, 5 and 6 were asked to design their own poster of Mary with the theme of “Our Lady of the Southern Cross’. Hopefully we will have a winner or two!
