A GROUNDSWELL of community support has led to the establishment of a fund for the three children whose parents drowned at South Ballina Beach yesterday.

Joseph and Carole Sherry from Orangeville, near Camden, drowned as their children watched helplessly from the beach.

Police have yet to confirm if Mrs Sherry was rescuing two of her children at the time.
