Music marathon at conservatorium

THE Northern Rivers Conservatorium Arts Centre will soon be holding a 12 hour Music Marathon to raise money for a new roof.

They're aiming to raise $15,000 to fund repairs to their historic Lismore building - a building that is the original Lismore High School and has also been the Teachers' College and Northern Rivers College of Advanced Education.

The money would be used to repair the historic building's roof and for ongoing maintenance.

Therefore, they'll be holding the Music Marathon on Saturday March 23 from 9am until 9pm, with students of the Conservatorium collecting sponsors for each minute of music they will perform on the day.

Ms Abbott also said that anyone who feels an affiliation with the building is welcome to support the Music Marathon as an audience member on the day, or by offering sponsorship.

For more information phone the Conservatorium on 6621 2266
