Murder case tranferred to Sydney

THE case against a 17-year-old youth who has been charged with murdering his mother at Suffolk Park in April 2011 has been transferred to the Supreme Court in Sydney.

The boy appeared yesterday before Magistrate Linden in Lismore Local court via video link and agreed for the case to be mentioned on June 6.

The case made national headlines after the youth allegedly stole his mother's car and was found by police in Port Macquarie several days after his mother's death.
