Mum says ‘vote for me’ to win dream of a $6000 boob job

A MACKAY mum is seeking community support to realise her 10-year dream to get a boob job.

Tara Midwood, 31, is up against 375 women and men in a national CosMedi Tour Facebook giveaway competition to win $6000 worth of cosmetic surgery and an all-expenses-paid holiday to Thailand. Ms Midwood, a psychology student at CQUniversity, broke down in tears while explaining how much it would mean to finally get the curvy figure she'd always longed for.

She said she'd struggled with her A-cup size physique since puberty, constantly feeling insecure and like she had to "cover up" her smaller breasts.

"I don't want to go overly huge. I'd be happy with a C-cup just to have that perkier look so I can feel confident with myself.

"My husband and friends say I'm beautiful the way I am but they also support me in this … they understand what it means to me and how much it's affected me."

She said she'd looked into breast augmentation surgery in Australia but was unable to afford the cost.

"After having kids, most mums can relate, things take a turn for the worst with your boobs," she said.

"In my case it just amplified the situation ten-fold and I thought I'd try to save money but my kids come first.

"My dream was on the backburner until now.

"This competition has given me a new hope that if the community supports me and votes for me on Facebook I may get my dream and my kids won't miss out on anything."

Ms Midwood said she didn't encourage cosmetic surgery "for the sake of looking good".

"I've tormented and teased myself about this for so long and I know some women can accept it about themselves but I just can't.

"It makes me miserable."

Will you vote for Tara Midwood?”
