MS sufferers struggling for necessities

NEARLY one-in-five Australians with multiple sclerosis struggle to have the equipment and home modifications needed to live with the disability, a study has found.

The National MS Needs Analysis 2012 also revealed for nearly half of those sufferers, the lack of changes to live with the disability are due to not being able to afford the equipment.

Some 2900 Australians with MS were surveyed for the analysis.

The MS Research Australia study was released on Monday to coincide with the International Day of People with a Disability on Monday.
