Mountain bike stolen from Ballina’s Shelly Beach

POLICE are appealing for information after a men's mountain bike was stolen at Ballina's Shelly Beach yesterday.

The white Giant mountain bike was stolen from the intersection of Shelly Beach Rd and Hindmarsh St, East Ballina.

"The victim left the bike at 1.30pm, returning 15 minutes later and the bike was gone," Richmond LAC posted on its Facebook page.

"If you happened to see someone take the bike, please call Ballina Police on 6681 8699."

The theft prompted police to remind people to always lock up their bicycles.

"It doesn't matter how long you leave it, thieves will take the easy steal and you'll be left walking," Richmond LAC posted.
