Motorcycle rider discharged after crash near Glenreagh
UPDATE, 2pm: THE man involved in yesterday's motorcycle crash at the Sherwood Nature Reserve has been discharged from Coffs Harbour Hospital.
EARLIER: MEDICAL help has been winched in to the location of a motorcycle rider who was thrown from his vehicle west of Woolgoolga.
The 30-year-old male suffered chest and head injuries in the crash about 12.30pm yesterday at the Sherwood Nature Reserve area, which runs from Kremnos to Nana Glen.
Due to the geographical location of the patient, the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter's doctor and paramedic were winched into the scene so they could stabilise him.
The helicopter was then relocated to a nearby paddock, but due to the patient's condition it was deemed necessary for the patient to be transported by road to Coffs Harbour Hospital.
His condition is not known at this time.
