Our Kids host Lismore's hottest Cup party

MORE than 200 people are dolling up to hit the hottest Melbourne Cup party in Lismore - and in the process help kids in hospitals around the Northern Rivers.

The Our Kids Melbourne Cup Luncheon kicks off at 11am at Southern Cross University.

Apart from the fine dining and bubbly, there is up to $5000 worth of jewellery from the Fairmarket, Lismore Antique Centre is to be won as well as over $30,000 dollars of prizes and giveaways.

There are also prizes for Best dressed filly, Best dressed mare, Best hat and of course Best dressed stallion.

In its 10th year, The Our Kids Melbourne Cup Luncheon raises funds for Our Kids, the charity that purchases paediatric equipment for our local hospitals in the Richmond Valley region to help keep our children local when they need medical care.

Tickets were sold out four weeks in advance. There will be 200 Lismore ladies and a handful of brave men ready to dress up for the races and wine and dine the afternoon away.
