Moral Hit scores a solid win

MORAL HIT returned to his best form when he scored a solid win in the Newman’s Quarrying Free For All (420m) at the Lismore greyhounds on Tuesday night.

Moral Hit jumped well from box one. He opened up a handy break and was never in danger as he scored by 2-1/4 lengths over Yorklea City with Karanne Star three-quarters of a length away third.

Moral hit has now won 15 races from just 36 starts and has proven to be a good money spinner for owner Anthony Maloney and trainer Denise Robinson.

Dulcinea kept her unbeaten record intact when this outstanding juvenile set the time standard for the 520m in the Rod ’n Reel Hotel Stake.

Dulcinea, a hot $1.60 fav-ourite, began well from her ideal box one draw and cleared out for an easy 6-1/4 length win, her third from as many starts.

Owner trainer Frank Hancock was delighted and the time of 30.16s was easily the best of the night.

The Evans Head Pre-School held a highly successful fund-raiser on the night, with the pre-schoolers enjoying their first experience of greyhound racing action.
