Moore problems for Ballina in FNC LJ Hooker League cricket

BALLINA Bears and Lennox Head will be without captains Justin Moore and Andrew Lindsay when Far North Coast LJ Hooker League cricket resumes this weekend.

The pair are currently in South Australia playing for NSW Country at the Australian Country Cricket Championships.

NSW Country beat South Australia on Thursday and will complete a two-day game against Queensland Country today.

They have one-day games against East Asia Pacific and Victoria Country before the competition wraps up on Monday.

Moore and Lindsay both played first grade in Sydney and are representing NSW Country for a second consecutive year.

Moore is a big loss for Bears, he scored 94 in its last game before the Christmas break in a one-dayer.

Ballina is currently sixth on the ladder and have a tough test against Marist Brothers at Oakes Oval when the two-day game starts this weekend.

In other games, Lennox Head is at home against Cudgen at Meagan Crescent Oval.

Lindsay has been the Pirates best player this season scoring 509 rund and taking 10 wickets.

Meanwhile, Alstonville will need to improve when it takes on Tintenbar-East Ballina at Kingsford Smith Park, Ballina.

They were thumped by Pottsville last round in a 127 run loss against Pottsville last round.
