Modifieds speedway decider in Lismore hit by rain

AFTERNOON rain washed out the final round of the Mr Modified Series at Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway on Saturday.

Promoter David Lander and his track staff tried to rework the track but it was to no avail and he was forced to call off the meeting.

Lander is now trying to find a date to reschedule the series final.

Next Friday and Saturday nights the Hernes Freight Services Wingless Sprint Australian Grand Prix and Formula 500 NSW Championship will be run.

The following week it's the Castrol Edge V8 Dirt Modified Masters.

Rounding out a busy month at Lismore Speedway is the World Midget Speedcar Championship, starting on Australia Day and to be completed two days late on January 28.
