Sophie Monk's alleged cyberstalker charged

MODEL, actress and singer turned radio host Sophie Monk has become the first Australian celebrity to have an alleged cyber stalker charged with harassing her on social media.

News Limited reports James McCabe allegedly bombarded the 34-year-old and new face of 2Day FM with up to 150 sexually explicit and threatening posts on Twitter per day.

Monk finally contacted police after Mr McCabe allegedly made death threats towards her and a family member.

Mr McCabe said he had co-operated fully with police - giving them his phone and personal recordings of Monk singing - and stopped tweeting her on the day of his arrest.
