Mobile distraction causes three-car crash
A MAN who caused a three-car crash at Clunes by looking at his mobile phone has been booked for negligent driving, police have said.
Police from the Richmond Local Area Command have reported on their Facebook page the man was briefly distracted by his phone while driving along Main Street at Clines on Saturday morning.
During his moment of inattention, his car crashed into a stationary vehicle in front of him and pushed it into an oncoming car.
Police reminded drivers that last November it became illegal for a driver to touch or hold a mobile phone unless they were passing it to a passenger or the car was parked.
