Missing baby boy found safe

UPDATE: A BABY boy who was the subject of an amber alert has been found safe and well. 

Queensland Police said a man was assisting with enquiries. He was found with the boy about 2.50pm. 

UPDATE: QUEENSLAND police have issued an amber alert in the search for a missing seven-month-old baby who may be at  'significant risk'.

Earlier today QPS issued a statement that suggested the child was with a 35-year-old man, Michael Eugene.

Police stated the man and the child were due to visit an address Murrumba Downs on February 28 but did not arrive.

Police believe the pair were last seen midday yesterday in the Mango Hill area, but concerns are held as the man's behaviour is out of character.

The man and the infant boy are known to each other.

He is described as being Caucasian in appearance, around 180cms tall and has a solid build and brown hair.

He is believed to be travelling in a gold coloured Holden Commodore with South Australian registration plates CLUBBER.

EARLIER: POLICE are appealing for public assistance to help find a man and boy reported missing from Murrumba Downs, 45 minutes from the Sunshine Coast.

35-year-old Michael Eugene (pictured below) and a 7-month-old boy were due to visit an address Murrumba Downs on February 28 but did not arrive.
