Miranda Kerr's mother marries her son to his boyfriend

MIRANDA Kerr's mother Therese says she is proud as punch of her son, who tied the knot with his long-term boyfriend today.

Matt Kerr married James Wright in the Hunter Valley at Nana Kerr's Kitchen.

Kerr's mother, Therese, and father, John, arrived at 3.45pm.

"It's beautiful - I'm actually celebrant," Therese Kerr told The Telegraph.

"We don't need an Australian government or the law to tell us what love is.

"We are proud as punch."

The groom's supermodel sister flew in to the country with her fiance Evan Spiegel on Thursday.

The mother-of-one revealed to The Daily Telegraph earlier this year that she will play an official role in the ceremony.

"I'm part of his wedding party - it should be so nice," said Kerr, who joined her brother for his bucks party in July.

"I just celebrated with him. He had his little celebration with all of his friends, it was nice to be able to get together," she added.
