Minor incidents keep emergency services busy

Emergency services were kept busy on the Bruxner Highway yesterday with two incidents affecting traffic.

Just after noon a metal crate fell from the back of a ute, littering the Bruxner Highway with debris at Alphadale, about 1.5km from the Wollongbar speed camera.

A tow truck was required to move the crate, which clipped a car when it fell from the ute.

No passengers in the vehicle were injured in the impact.

Then at 2.51 pm emergency services were called to the Bruxner Highway, South Lismore, after reports a motocyclist had crashed.

When paramedics arrived at the scene they found a man in his 40's suffering leg and back pain.

The man was transported to Lismore Base Hospital in a stable condition.
