BASKETBALL: Patty Mills' impressive season just got even better, with the Australian guard hitting the game-winning three-pointer to lift the San Antonio Spurs over the Houston Rockets.
With the Spurs down 100-99, Mills spotted up for the three-pointer from the wing, hitting nothing but net to give San Antonio the lead, and ultimately the win.
Mills finished with 13 points - including three-from-six from beyond the arc - helping the Spurs to their fifth straight win.
The Spurs trailed by as many as 13 points with less than five minutes to play, before a flurry of three-pointers from Manu Ginobili and Danny Green helped them claw their way back into the game.
Green's three-pointer put the Spurs within one point, before James Harden turned the ball over on the ensuing possession, setting the stage for Mills' heroics.
Kawhi Leonard led the way for the Spurs with 21 points, five rebounds and five steals, while LaMarcus Aldridge chipped in with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
For the Rockets, Harden finished with a game-high 31 points, along with 10 rebounds and seven assists.
