Men found with guns, drugs

THREE men were arrested on Thursday after police allegedly found amphetamines, a gun and cannabis at their Ballina home.

At 6:50am on Thursday, Richmond Local Area Command police and the dog squad raided a residence in Moon Street at Ballina.

They allegedly found nine grams of amphetamine in seven re-sealable deal bags, 10 grams of white powder yet to be identified and a .22 calibre zip gun.

They also seized four cannabis seedlings and a small amount of cannabis leaf.

The three men, who police said were "blood related", were arrested after the raid and taken to Ballina Police Station.

The 36-year-old man was charged with drug possession and supply.

The 18-year-old was also charged with drug possession and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Both men were bailed to appear at Ballina Local Court on February 16.

Richmond Local Area Command crime manager Detective Inspector Greg Moore said investigations into the third male, a 37-year-old, were ongoing.
